HARIDWAR — Devotees from across India and abroad are converging in Haridwar as the sacred Char Dham Yatra gears up to commence. The doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri, two of the four revered pilgrimage sites, will officially open on April 30, marking the beginning of one of the most significant spiritual journeys in Hinduism.
The Rishikul Ground in Haridwar is abuzz with activity as pilgrims eagerly line up for registration. There is a palpable sense of devotion and excitement among the attendees, many of whom have traveled great distances to be part of the auspicious event.
Regional Tourist Officer Sushil Nautial provided an update on the preparations, assuring that arrangements are being made to ensure a smooth and safe Yatra for all pilgrims. "We are working round the clock to streamline the registration process, enhance infrastructure, and strengthen security measures," Nautial said.
