Bengaluru | Karnataka BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra on Sunday launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s government, alleging that it has been supporting “anti-national elements and terrorists.” His remarks come amid reports and viral videos purportedly showing special privileges being extended to inmates in Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Jail.
Vijayendra claimed that the Congress-led state government is compromising national security by allowing terror suspects and ISI-linked prisoners access to luxury facilities inside the jail. “You’ve seen the video showing how facilities are provided to terrorists and ISI agents in Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Jail, where everyone has access to televisions, mobile phones, and liquor,” he said.
The BJP leader accused the state government of turning a blind eye to serious security lapses and demanded immediate accountability. “The BJP is calling for action against the entire anti-national activity undertaken by the Congress government. CM Siddaramaiah and the Home Minister G. Parameshwara should resign,” Vijayendra said.
