Delhi: As of July 1, 2024, the Border Security Force (BSF) has 10,145 vacancies, according to Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha. Over the past five years, 7,372 new posts have been created within the BSF, and a total of 54,760 personnel have been recruited.

These figures highlight the ongoing efforts to bolster the BSF's strength and address personnel shortages, ensuring enhanced border security and operational readiness.
