BRS Leader K Kavitha Urges Rahul Gandhi to Address Environmental Damage at Hyderabad Central University

Hyderabad | Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha has issued a sharp message to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during his visit to Telangana, urging him to address environmental concerns at Hyderabad Central University (HCU).

Speaking to the media, Kavitha said, "Rahul Gandhi is in Telangana; we welcome him. We welcome him to visit HCU and see the huge trees cut down by your Chief Minister. See how much destruction your Chief Minister and Congress party government caused. Please stand with the students of HCU."

She alleged that the Congress-led state government has been responsible for large-scale deforestation and environmental degradation at the university campus, an issue that has reportedly angered many students and activists. Kavitha called on Gandhi to personally witness the situation and take a stand.

"I humbly request Rahul Gandhi to stop his Chief Minister from continuing the destruction," she added, framing the appeal as both a political challenge and a plea for environmental responsibility.
