Hyderabad, Telangana | In a strong statement, BRS Working President KT Rama Rao alleged that the Congress Chief Minister of Telangana has been involved in corruption, claiming that he awarded a contract worth ₹1,137 crore to his brother-in-law. Rao emphasized that he possesses evidence to back his claims, stating, "Today I am alleging that the Congress CM of Telangana has been caught red-handed."
Referring to Bandi Sanjay, a central minister from Telangana, Rao criticized the suggestion that the state government should formally request a Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) probe into the controversial Amrut tenders. "I really sympathize... I don't have any words to express the kind of ignorance that this man is exhibiting," he remarked. Rao further clarified that the CVC is an independent body and does not require the consent of the state government to initiate investigations.
This allegation adds to the ongoing political tension in Telangana as various parties continue to scrutinize each other's actions ahead of upcoming elections. Rao's comments reflect a growing demand for transparency and accountability in government dealings, urging citizens to be vigilant regarding corruption in the political landscape.
