Brinda Karat Seeks Answers After AI-171 Crash, Extends Condolences to Victims’ Families

New Delhi, June 13 — Senior Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Brinda Karat has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic AI-171 plane crash in Ahmedabad, which claimed multiple lives and left several others critically injured. In a heartfelt statement, Karat conveyed condolences to the bereaved families and emphasized the need for a full investigation to uncover the causes behind the disaster.

“I believe the entire country mourns for the victims of the crash,” Karat stated. “We extend our condolences to the families of those who died and wish a speedy recovery to those who were severely injured.”

Highlighting the gravity of the incident, she stressed that serious questions must be raised about how such a tragedy occurred. “Certainly, many questions arise. Why did this happen? Naturally, the aviation ministry, along with the experts, will investigate. Then, we will learn why such a tragedy occurred and whether any reasons can be avoided for future disastrous accidents,” she added.
