Delhi: CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat has sharply criticized Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, accusing him of repeatedly violating constitutional principles. Reacting to the Governor’s recent remarks regarding Kerala’s Chief Minister, Karat stated, "It seems that Kerala Governor is a serial offender as far as the violation of Constitutional propriety and the Constitutional role of the Governor is concerned."

Karat argued that the Governor has no constitutional authority to comment on or demand explanations from the elected Chief Minister of Kerala. "He has absolutely no right under the Constitution of India to comment or demand the elected chief minister of Kerala about any remark he may or may not have made," she emphasized.

She further accused Governor Khan of acting in the interest of the BJP rather than upholding his constitutional duties. "He is not acting as an Ambassador of the Constitution of India but as an Ambassador of Delhi Raj representing the narrow interest of BJP," Karat added, signaling strong opposition to the Governor’s conduct.
