Chandigarh: BJP leader Tarun Chugh has launched a sharp attack on the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government, questioning how Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal was allowed to oversee an administrative reforms department that did not exist for three years.

"It’s been 36 months, but the Punjab government wasn’t aware that the minister was holding a department that didn’t exist. Notably, the ‘AAP-da’ government doesn’t need an administrative reform department. It is time for ‘AAP-da’ to go, and the people of Punjab are ready to give them a farewell,” Chugh stated.

The controversy erupted after CM Bhagwant Mann admitted that the department under Dhaliwal’s charge had no staff or office and was merely on paper. The government has since renamed and restructured it to introduce actual reforms and streamline administration.
