Siliguri, West Bengal – Union Minister and West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar has launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, alleging that she is making false accusations to create an alibi for her anticipated defeat in the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections.
"Mamata Banerjee's allegations point towards a conspiracy to delete the names of Hindus and non-Bengali-speaking people from the voter list," Majumdar claimed, without providing specific details.
Targeting Trinamool Congress (TMC) National General Secretary and MP Abhishek Banerjee, Majumdar dismissed any possibility of the BJP accepting him. “There is no difference between Abhishek Banerjee and Mamata Banerjee. She is well aware of all his corrupt activities," he said.
Taking a scathing jibe, Majumdar further remarked, “We are not ready to accept Abhishek Banerjee in our party. Why should we take a rotten potato? His staying in TMC is our USP—we can point to him and say that the chief of thieves is in TMC.”
