New Delhi | In a sharp political salvo, BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla has launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi ahead of his proposed ‘Palayan Roko, Naukri Do’ campaign in Bihar. Speaking to reporters in Delhi, Poonawalla questioned Gandhi’s moral authority to speak on employment and migration when, according to him, Congress-led governments in other states are mired in misgovernance.
"Before Rahul Gandhi wears a white t-shirt and starts his campaign in Bihar, he should clarify what colour t-shirt he will wear when he visits Karnataka, Telangana, and Himachal Pradesh to address inflation, corruption, and the lack of government jobs,” said Poonawalla.
Highlighting issues in Congress-ruled states, he accused the Karnataka government of failing to protect women, citing rising cases of violence. In Telangana, he alleged environmental degradation and student oppression under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He further questioned Gandhi’s silence on these issues while focusing his attention solely on Bihar.
Poonawalla also took a swipe at the Congress-RJD alliance, blaming RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav for the historical migration crisis in Bihar. “Lalu Yadav is the father of jungle raj. During his rule, katta (illegal gun) factories flourished while schools and colleges decayed,” he claimed.
