New Delhi – BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla launched a scathing attack on the opposition, accusing them of undermining the Indian armed forces and echoing adversarial narratives, in the wake of the successful execution of Operation Sindoor. Speaking to the media in Delhi, Poonawalla said that while the nation was united in saluting the military through the Tiranga Yatra, some political voices had once again activated the so-called “saboot gang” — a term used to criticize those demanding proof of military operations.
“Today, the entire nation is paying respect to our armed forces for Operation Sindoor. PM Modi himself went to Adampur Air Base to boost the morale of our troops. Yet, at this moment of national pride, certain political elements are once again questioning the armed forces despite the availability of high-quality visual evidence,” Poonawalla said.
He drew parallels with past instances where the opposition questioned critical military actions such as the surgical strikes and the Balakot airstrikes, suggesting a pattern of skepticism that, in his view, serves only to bolster hostile narratives.
Poonawalla accused the INDI alliance of aligning with Pakistan’s perspective by raising doubts over Indian military achievements. “This alliance seems more interested in giving Pakistan a clean chit in Pahalgam and amplifying their propaganda rather than supporting our forces,” he asserted.
