Patna, Bihar: BJP national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain on Friday criticized the Mahagathbandhan over its treatment of minority communities in Bihar, following the announcement of Tejashwi Yadav as the alliance’s Chief Ministerial candidate and Mukesh Sahani as Deputy CM face.

Hussain alleged that the opposition alliance does not genuinely value the Muslim community and is exploiting it for electoral gains. “Mahagathbandhan does not value the minorities. Mahagathbandhan only uses the Muslim community for the vote bank,” he said.

He further claimed that minority voters are being sidelined in ticket allocation. “Mahagathbandhan ignores the Muslims in ticket distribution also, and the minority is feeling cheated,” Hussain added.

The BJP leader questioned the alliance’s commitment to inclusive politics, referring to the so-called “MY equation” promised to the community. “Where is the ‘MY’ equation?” Hussain asked, implying that the Mahagathbandhan’s claims of minority representation are largely symbolic and not backed by action.
