Ranchi: BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo raised serious allegations against the Jharkhand government, claiming that the state government’s special branch had provided documents and identification proofs to infiltrators, even facilitating their accommodation in Madrasas. According to Deo, a letter from June 2023 allegedly confirms these actions. The issue, he argued, is of major significance in Santhal Pargana, where tribals’ interests are at risk due to encroachments linked to the influx of infiltrators.
Deo emphasized that such actions were not only harmful to the tribals but amounted to a betrayal of Jharkhand’s residents. He further criticized the Congress party’s Jharkhand in-charge, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, for stating that cylinders would be provided to infiltrators at a subsidized rate of Rs 450. According to Deo, such promises of welfare for infiltrators reflect a clear intention to undermine the rights of the state’s indigenous population, and he labeled the act as "treason."
The BJP spokesperson’s comments reflect growing concerns over the alleged manipulation of local resources, which he claims directly benefits outsiders at the expense of the local tribals. He urged the people of Jharkhand to remain vigilant and not allow their rights to be compromised by these political maneuvers.
