BJP national president JP Nadda launched a scathing attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of being the "number one liar" in the country. Addressing a public rally, Nadda remarked, “If there is a national-level competition for lying, Kejriwal will come first.” His comments were aimed at Kejriwal’s tenure in office, particularly the unresolved garbage crisis in the city. “There are heaps of garbage everywhere, what picture are they painting of Delhi?” Nadda questioned.

The BJP leader also criticized Kejriwal’s failure to address the issue of cleaning the Yamuna River, which the Delhi government had promised to tackle. Nadda alleged a massive scam related to the river-cleaning initiative, claiming that Rs 7,000-8,000 crore had been misappropriated in the process.

Shifting focus to infrastructure, Nadda underscored the development efforts by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, especially in the transportation sector. “Prime Minister Modi sent 300 new buses, including electric buses, and by December 2025-2026, more electric buses will be provided to Delhi,” he said, positioning the BJP as a party focused on tangible progress.
