NEW DELHI: BJP National Vice President Baijayant Jay Panda on Monday reiterated the party’s commitment to cleaning the Yamuna River, stating that the process is already underway and will be a key agenda in the first cabinet meeting of the newly formed government.
"When we formed the government (in Delhi), PM Modi said that Yamuna will become something that we all will be proud of. PM Modi has shown this by building a world-class Sabarmati riverfront," Panda said.
He further mentioned that Delhi CM will soon attend an aarti at the river, emphasizing the government's dedication to the project. "Many of the commitments that we have made will be passed in the first cabinet meeting. The cleaning process of Yamuna has already started," he added.
