New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Anurag Thakur on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of failing to fulfill his long-standing promise to clean the Yamuna River. Speaking at a public event, Thakur reminded voters that Kejriwal had vowed a decade ago to rejuvenate the river but had not delivered on his assurances.

"He had promised to clean the Yamuna 10 years ago. Even five years ago, Kejriwal claimed that if given another term, he would take a dip in the Yamuna to prove its cleanliness. But five years have passed, and neither did he take a dip nor did he clean the river. Instead, the Yamuna has become more polluted than before," Thakur said.

The BJP leader further urged the people of Delhi to reject the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the upcoming elections and vote for the BJP. He assured voters that if elected, the BJP would take concrete steps to restore the Yamuna, combat air pollution, ensure clean drinking water, and eliminate the growing garbage dumps across the city.
