Patna: Tensions flared in Bihar on Friday after BJP workers stormed the state Congress headquarters in Patna, protesting against alleged abusive language directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi during Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’.
The incident followed a controversy that erupted when slogans critical of the Prime Minister were reportedly raised during the Congress rally earlier this week. The remarks sparked strong reactions from BJP leaders, who accused the Congress of lowering the standard of political discourse.
The protest outside the Congress office escalated as BJP workers entered the premises, raising slogans against the opposition party. Police personnel were deployed to control the situation and prevent further clashes. No reports of major injuries or damage were immediately available.
