New Delhi | In the thick of the Delhi Elections 2025, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has escalated its attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accusing Arvind Kejriwal of spreading misinformation and violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

After a BJP delegation met with the Election Commission to address concerns over the Yamuna water controversy, Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav spoke to the media, alleging that Kejriwal’s recent remarks were inflammatory and divisive.

"In Delhi's electoral politics, the BJP is continuously moving towards victory. Delhi CM, former CM, and AAP leaders are very concerned about it and are trying to create anarchy and unnecessary fear in the minds of the people," Yadav claimed. He further accused the AAP of stooping to new lows in their campaign strategies.

The controversy arose after Kejriwal alleged that the Haryana government was supplying "poisoned water" to Delhi, a claim Yadav called "spiteful, destructive, and separatist." He stated that such remarks are a blatant violation of the MCC and urged the Election Commission to take strict action.

“We presented that part of Arvind Kejriwal's speech where he accused Haryana of adding poison to water being supplied to Delhi. The EC has taken cognizance of our concerns, and we have urged them to take action in the matter,” Yadav added.
