New Delhi | BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan strongly criticized the opposition’s allegations that dissent notes were "redacted" from the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) report on the Waqf Amendment Bill. He accused the Congress of orchestrating chaos in Parliament out of fear that the bill would dismantle their "politics of appeasement."
"The drama and deplorable ruckus orchestrated by the Congress in Parliament today clearly exposed how nervous and rattled they are," Kesavan said, reacting to the opposition's claims.
He asserted that the opposition was panicking because they understood the implications of the new Waqf Amendment Bill. "Opposition is literally panicking because they know that the JPC report and the new Waqf Amendment Bill will effectively nullify and neutralize their divisive politics of appeasement," he remarked.
Kesavan further emphasized that the bill aimed to end discrimination within the Muslim community itself. "The Waqf Amendment Bill will decisively stop the discrimination and the inequality being faced by disadvantaged and deprived sections of the Muslim community," he stated.
