Lucknow: BJP spokesperson Anand Dubey has hit out at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav over his recent post on X (formerly Twitter) regarding traffic jams on roads leading to the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. Dubey alleged that Yadav’s remarks were politically motivated and aimed at appealing to a specific vote bank.

"When the Kumbh hadn’t even started, Akhilesh Yadav ji was raising questions about it. He is doing this as part of a well-thought-out strategy. He wants to send a message to his specific vote bank by opposing the Kumbh. The entire administration and the UP government are there, working on all kinds of arrangements," Dubey said.

Yadav’s post had highlighted severe traffic congestion on the roads leading to Prayagraj, sparking criticism from BJP leaders who accused him of unnecessary negativity. The Maha Kumbh Mela, considered one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, is expected to attract millions of devotees, leading to logistical challenges despite extensive preparations by the Uttar Pradesh government.
