New Delhi, June 17: The ongoing political sparring over the caste census took a sharp turn as BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing it of spreading misinformation and manipulating facts for political gain.
Responding to Congress’ recent claims about the caste census, Kesavan said, “The bogus claims and distorted bluffs manufactured by the dirty tricks department of the Congress party have now been categorically fact-checked by the Press Information Bureau. The Congress party stands completely exposed before the nation for trying to misinform our people about the caste census.”
He further alleged that the Congress’ tactics were aimed at misleading the public and manipulating public sentiment ahead of elections. “The manner in which the Congress party is trying to politicise the caste census has been unmasked,” he stated.
