Delhi: BJP MP and actor Ravi Kishan lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address in the Lok Sabha, calling it a "historic speech" that exposed the opposition's shortcomings, particularly on issues of representation and governance. Kishan claimed that the Prime Minister’s pointed questions left opposition parties scrambling for answers.
“It was a historic speech! The opposition was bewildered when he asked whether any of them had three members from the SC/ST or OBC community,” Kishan said, emphasizing the BJP's commitment to inclusive representation. He argued that the opposition’s inability to respond effectively highlighted a lack of diversity within their ranks, in contrast to the BJP’s focus on empowering marginalized communities.
Kishan further asserted that the opposition has realized its long-term political fate in light of the Prime Minister’s vision. “The opposition also understood that till 2047, it has to remain in the opposition,” he said, referring to PM Modi's ambitious roadmap for Viksit Bharat by India's centenary of independence.
Responding to recent criticism from opposition leaders regarding the Maha Kumbh Mela, Kishan took aim at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. “Akhilesh Yadav's remarks on Maha Kumbh are very unfortunate. In today's digital era, where every person has a mobile phone in his hand, can anyone conceal anything?” Kishan asked rhetorically, dismissing allegations of mismanagement or cover-ups during the religious event.
