Delhi: Amid ongoing discussions about farmers' protests, BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal expressed confidence in the government’s commitment to the agricultural community. He urged farmers to engage directly with government officials to address any remaining concerns.
“We all know that in our country, the one who has respected farmers the most is PM Modi. From time to time, PM Modi and the Government of India have taken various steps for the development of the agricultural sector,” Khandelwal stated.
Acknowledging that certain issues might persist, Khandelwal encouraged farmers to approach the concerned authorities. “If there is still something left, farmers must meet the Agriculture Minister and other government officials and put forward their needs. The government understands the farmers,” he said, emphasizing the administration’s openness to dialogue.
Khandelwal’s remarks come amidst renewed calls for reforms and support in the agricultural sector. The government has previously implemented measures such as the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and expanded access to agricultural credit to benefit farmers. However, unresolved demands from various farmer groups continue to shape the discourse.
The MP reiterated the government’s dedication to addressing farmers’ issues while highlighting PM Modi’s consistent focus on agricultural development. His appeal for direct engagement with officials underscores the importance of dialogue in resolving grievances and ensuring progress for the farming community.
The statement adds to ongoing efforts to bridge gaps between the government and farmers, reaffirming the administration’s willingness to work collaboratively for the sector's advancement.
