Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Praveen Khandelwal on Saturday welcomed India’s latest economic performance, highlighting the country’s 7.8 per cent GDP growth as evidence of resilience and progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Commenting on the figures, Khandelwal said, “This clearly shows that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country's economy remains strong despite challenges, and it is rapidly progressing towards development. All dimensions of growth are advancing swiftly, and their cumulative impact is reflected as 7.8 GDP.”
The remarks come at a time when India’s economic growth has drawn attention both domestically and internationally, with policymakers pointing to robust services activity, manufacturing output, and sustained demand as key drivers.
Economists have noted that while global headwinds such as inflationary pressures and trade disruptions continue to pose challenges, India’s growth trajectory remains comparatively strong among major economies. The government has emphasized infrastructure expansion, digital transformation, and industrial policy as central pillars for sustaining momentum.
