New Delhi: BJP MP Yogender Chandolia spoke about the party's recent success in the MCD Ward Committee elections, asserting that the results would have been the same even if the elections had been held after the mayoral elections. Chandolia criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for its efforts to dominate the standing committee and control the outcome of the elections.
"If these elections had happened after the mayor elections, then too, the same results would have come," Chandolia stated, emphasizing the inevitability of the BJP’s victory. He accused AAP of trying to secure a majority and control over the standing committee from 2022 onwards, asserting that their efforts ultimately failed.
"They (AAP) thought we wouldn't get a majority in the standing committee and wanted to have all control. They tried their best to do so from 2022 till today," Chandolia added. His comments highlight the ongoing political rivalry between the BJP and AAP, with both parties competing for influence and control in local governance. The BJP’s success in the MCD Ward Committee elections is seen as a significant achievement amidst this rivalry.
