Delhi: With the Delhi Assembly elections approaching, BJP MP Anurag Thakur launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accusing the party of being anti-women and raising questions about CM Atishi’s absence from AAP’s advertisements across Delhi. Speaking at a press conference, Thakur alleged, “Why is Delhi CM Atishi's face not there on AAP's advertising hoardings in Delhi? AAP-da is anti-women.”

Thakur cited multiple issues, claiming AAP has failed to fulfill promises made to women in Punjab and Delhi. “They promised to distribute money to women in Punjab but failed. The party assaults their female MP, removes the face of CM Atishi, and engages in activities like sexual harassment of women,” he alleged.

He further accused AAP members of misconduct, saying, “Their members beat up their wives and even get them attacked by dogs. Women protested against opening liquor shops, but the government opened them in place of schools.” Thakur also criticized AAP for failing to address educational concerns, claiming, “Thousands of girls in class 9th were forced to fail under their watch.”

The BJP MP did not spare AAP founder and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, questioning his continued access to security despite holding no official position. “Kejriwal used to claim he would not take any security facility, yet now he enjoys Z+ security in Punjab and Delhi. Is it right for someone without a post to hold security from two states?” Thakur asked.
