Kolkata, West Bengal: BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul has launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, alleging that she is apprehensive about losing the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections.
"CM Mamata Banerjee has started realizing that she cannot form the government in 2026. Every state, from Delhi to Maharashtra, is turning saffron, and she is afraid," Paul said.
She accused Banerjee of attempting to shift blame by alleging that the BJP and the Election Commission were involved in voter fraud. Paul further claimed that Banerjee has won past elections using "fake voters" and "ghost voters" from Bangladesh.
The BJP leader also criticized Banerjee’s governance, alleging that she has focused solely on appeasement politics. "She has only worked for the 30% Muslim population while neglecting Hindus and other communities," Paul asserted.
