Ranchi, Jharkhand | BJP leader Pratul Shah Deo launched a sharp attack on the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) over its fluctuating stance regarding seat-sharing in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Speaking to reporters, Shah Deo sarcastically suggested renaming the party to “JMMU — U for U-turn,” alleging that the party’s shifting positions reflected political inconsistency and desperation.

“In the last 15 days, the number of U-turns JMM has taken in context to Bihar elections, I think it is time that JMM should be renamed to JMMU,” he said. Tracing the sequence of changes, Shah Deo stated that JMM initially announced plans to contest 16 seats, later revising it to 12 seats, and then reportedly approached Mahagathbandhan leaders expressing willingness to settle for three seats.

According to Shah Deo, the Mahagathbandhan “shooed them away” without granting any seats. “After that, they held a press conference claiming they would fight on six seats to teach Mahagathbandhan a lesson. But within 24 hours, they took another U-turn and decided not to contest even a single seat,” he added.

Shah Deo accused JMM of “losing Jharkhandi pride in the streets of Bihar just for a few seats,” asserting that the party’s indecisiveness exposed its weakening political relevance and lack of direction.
