Reacting to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent allegations of “vote theft” in the Haryana Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the BJP, accusing it of habitual manipulation and deceit.
“Fraud is in the DNA of BJP governments. Whenever they get an opportunity, they don’t think twice before committing it,” Bharadwaj said. Citing past examples, he added, “Just think about it — even in the Chandigarh mayoral election, which is such a small election, their wrongdoing was clearly exposed.”
Drawing a parallel between governance and transparency, Bharadwaj accused the BJP of falsifying even public health and environmental data. “Today, whether you travel in a bus, take the metro, or visit any home, people are unwell everywhere — everyone is coughing, has a fever, headache, or cold. Yet, they have even falsified the AQI data,” he said.
He went on to claim that the party was also tampering with electoral systems. “To say that they wouldn’t manipulate the Election Commission is absurd. Of course, they would. They are definitely tampering with EVM machines, certainly manipulating electoral rolls, and wherever they find even the slightest chance, they engage in fraud,” Bharadwaj alleged.
