BJP Assam Finalizes Rajya Sabha Candidates

Guwahati: The BJP Assam state election committee convened today to finalize candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. The meeting, attended by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, State In-charge Harish Dwivedi, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, and other members, focused on selecting nominees for the two available Rajya Sabha seats.

Following extensive discussions, the committee compiled a list of potential candidates, which has been forwarded to the BJP central leadership in Delhi for final approval. The decision on the selected candidates is now pending the central leadership's review.
