Bhubaneswar, May 1 — In the wake of the recent Pahalgam terror attack, BJD Vice-President Debi Prasad Mishra has raised concerns over the effectiveness of the government's response to terrorism, urging immediate and decisive action. Speaking out on the incident, Mishra questioned the results of numerous high-level meetings between security forces, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the National Security Advisor (NSA).
“Our security forces, Prime Minister, NSA, all sit, have meetings, but what are the results?” Mishra asked, expressing frustration with the ongoing threat posed by terrorism. He emphasized that the nation looks to the government for a swift and effective response to ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
Mishra also singled out Pakistan as a major supporter of terrorism, asserting that concrete steps should be taken to address the country’s role in perpetuating violence. “Pakistan is the biggest supporter of terrorism and something should be done to break this,” he added, calling for stronger measures to disrupt the cross-border terrorism fueling attacks in India.
