New Delhi: A delegation from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) met with the Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday, advocating for enhanced transparency and accountability in the electoral process. The meeting focused on key issues, including real-time audits of elections, the counting of Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) slips, and public disclosure of voting percentages and EVM vote counts.

Speaking on the meeting, BJD MP Sasmit Patra stated, "We went to meet the Election Commission today. A discussion was held on a few points, which included a real-time audit of the entire electoral process at the time of elections, counting of VVPAT slips, accurate voting percentage, and making public how many votes were cast in EVMs."
