Bhubaneswar, Odisha: BJD Vice President Debi Prasad Mishra has criticized the BJP for not delivering on its electoral promises. "BJP is a master in making false promises," Mishra claimed. He highlighted discontent among the public due to discrepancies between BJP's manifesto and its actions.

Mishra pointed out that while the BJP had pledged financial support for the elderly, disabled, and transgenders, the current guidelines only allocate Rs 3500 to individuals over 80 years of age, rather than the broader demographic initially promised. "People are restive against these deprivations," he said.

To address these concerns, Mishra announced a public awareness campaign set to begin on August 16, aimed at highlighting what he described as injustices and deprivations under the BJP government.
