Cuttack: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Chief Naveen Patnaik on Saturday strongly condemned a group clash that erupted at Katak Dargha Bazar during the Dashahara Bhusani celebrations. In a social media post, Patnaik described the incident, which involved the throwing of stones and bottles, as “unpleasant” and “alarming” for Cuttack, a city traditionally known for communal harmony.

Patnaik expressed concern over the police administration’s apparent inability to control the situation, attributing the disruption of law and order to pressure under the BJP government. He stressed that such unrest is unacceptable in peaceful Odisha and highlighted the need for maintaining cordiality and goodwill among citizens.
