Anantnag (Jammu & Kashmir): Commenting on the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections in 2025, AICC General Secretary Ghulam Ahmad Mir said that the people of Bihar, particularly the youth, are seeking change after two decades of the NDA’s rule. He accused the Nitish Kumar-led government of failing to create jobs or attract industries to the state.
“People in Bihar want to end the 20-year rule, as it’s a long time for any coalition or leader. Nitish Kumar and the BJP government have failed to stop youth migration or create jobs within Bihar,” Mir said while addressing reporters in Anantnag.
He pointed out that despite promises of industrial growth, “all new industries have gone to Gujarat, while no factory has been set up in Bihar in 20 years.” According to Mir, the persistent lack of employment opportunities has forced lakhs of young people to leave the state in search of work.
Mir expressed confidence that the INDIA bloc would form the next government in Bihar, saying, “The youth are now seeking change, and a government of the INDIA bloc will be formed. Tejashwi, a young leader, will lead Bihar to prosperity.”
