Patna, Bihar – Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has assured strict action against those responsible for the Aguwani-Sultanganj bridge collapse, stating that engineers found guilty have faced departmental action and the contractor involved has been blacklisted.

“Two engineers and the Deputy Chief Engineer were found guilty of negligence in their duties, and departmental action was taken against them. The contractor associated with the project has been blacklisted due to their failure in execution,” said Sinha.

To ensure proper reconstruction, the Bihar government has formed a committee under the chairmanship of the Development Commissioner. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has also directed that no corrupt individual should be spared. “The CM instructed that strict action must be taken, and we have followed through,” Sinha added.

In response to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s criticism of the state government, Sinha launched a sharp attack on the opposition party. “They [RJD] have only looted Bihar. They do not have the capacity to make Nitish Kumar the Chief Minister. It was Nitish Kumar who helped Lalu Yadav become the CM,” he said.
