Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday highlighted the state’s progress under his leadership, saying that the perception of Bihar and its people has changed significantly over the past two decades. Speaking at a public event, Kumar credited the NDA governments at both the Centre and the state for driving Bihar’s growth and improving its image.

“You have given me the opportunity to serve the people of Bihar continuously since 2005. When we took office, being called a Bihari was considered an insult. Since then, we have served you with complete honesty and hard work,” Kumar said.

Emphasizing his inclusive approach, the Chief Minister added, “Be it Hindus, Muslims, upper castes, backward castes, extremely backward castes, Dalits, or Mahadalits — work has been done for everyone. I did nothing for my family. My only commitment is to the people of Bihar.”

Kumar asserted that the NDA alliance has brought a new pace to Bihar’s development. “Only the NDA can bring about Bihar's development. With NDA governments at both the Centre and the state, the pace of development has accelerated significantly,” he said.
