Charkhi Dadri, Haryana: In a strong address to the public today, former Haryana Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupinder Hooda expressed confidence in the Congress party’s prospects for the upcoming 2024 Haryana Assembly elections. Hooda stated, "There is only one sound everywhere that Congress is coming and BJP is leaving," emphasizing the shifting sentiments among the electorate.
Highlighting the achievements of Congress during its previous tenure, Hooda remarked, "People weighed the work done by Congress and BJP in the state... when we left the government, Haryana's per-person income, law and order, and sports facilities were the best." He pointed out that under the previous Congress administration, the state witnessed significant progress in various sectors.
However, Hooda criticized the current BJP-led government, claiming that law and order has deteriorated and that the sporting achievements of Haryana's daughters have not been adequately recognized or rewarded. "Today, law and order has collapsed, and in sports, you saw that our daughters, who made India proud at a global platform, did not get justice yet," he stated, underscoring the grievances of the public.
He asserted that the people of Haryana have now decided to vote for the Congress party in the upcoming elections, reflecting their desire for change. "Now, people have decided to form the Congress government this year," Hooda concluded, rallying support and energizing party workers and supporters at the gathering. His speech resonates with Congress's efforts to reclaim power in Haryana by addressing key issues and highlighting the shortcomings of the current administration.
