New Delhi: BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj on Monday emphasized the central role of women’s health in building a stronger nation while inaugurating Apollo Athenaa, Asia’s first dedicated cancer centre for women, in the national capital.

Speaking at the event, Swaraj said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar campaign on Tuesday, which aims to promote women’s well-being as a cornerstone of family and societal strength. “This campaign will play a very big role in the resolve we are taking forward to build a Viksit Bharat by internalising the core mantra of women-led development, because a mother is the foundation of any family, and if the mother falls ill, the family falls apart,” she said.

The Apollo Athenaa centre has been designed as a specialized facility for cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, focusing exclusively on women. Organizers noted that the centre seeks to provide comprehensive care and raise awareness about women’s health issues, particularly the growing burden of cancer in India.
