Jharkhand BJP President Babulal Marandi, speaking on the results of the Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024, extended his gratitude to the people of the Dhanwar assembly constituency, where he secured a victory. "My victory is the victory of the public of Dhanwar assembly constituency. I extend best wishes to the public. The public has given me the opportunity to work for the welfare of the public again," he said.

However, Marandi also addressed the broader election outcome, where the BJP faced a setback, and raised questions about the Congress party’s selective criticism of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). "Why is the Congress not raising questions on EVMs in Jharkhand? Whenever they lose the elections, they blame the EVMs," he remarked, pointing to a recurring narrative in Congress’s post-election commentary.

Marandi congratulated Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on his party’s victory and expressed his acceptance of the people’s mandate. "I congratulate Hemant Soren on winning the Jharkhand Assembly elections and I accept the verdict of people," he stated.

He admitted that the BJP’s loss was unexpected and promised introspection. "The results are unexpected and we will look into the reasons for our loss," he added, signaling that the party would analyze the outcome to address gaps in their strategy.

Marandi’s remarks highlight the BJP’s focus on respecting democratic processes while continuing to challenge opposing parties on their narratives and election

 tactics.
