New Delhi: Outgoing Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi held a roadshow in Kalkaji after securing a hard-fought victory in the constituency during the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections. Atishi, who contested from Kalkaji, defeated BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri by a margin of 3,521 votes, securing her seat even as her party suffered a major loss in the state.
According to the Election Commission, Atishi polled 52,154 votes, while Bidhuri received 48,633 votes. Congress candidate Alka Lamba finished a distant third, securing only 4,392 votes. Despite her personal win, AAP faced a crushing defeat, managing to secure only a handful of seats, while BJP emerged as the dominant force in Delhi with 48 seats.
Atishi’s roadshow in Kalkaji was marked by enthusiastic supporters, who gathered to celebrate her victory. Addressing the crowd, she expressed gratitude to the people of the constituency for their trust in her leadership. "This victory belongs to the people of Kalkaji. I will continue to serve you with dedication and work for the development of our constituency," she said.
