Delhi – As the capital gears up for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched a scathing attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Speaking at a recent event, Sarma accused the Delhi government of having no significant accomplishments to present to the public after a decade in power.
“Delhi government has nothing to showcase to the public,” Sarma stated, questioning the achievements of the Kejriwal-led administration. Highlighting what he termed as misplaced priorities, the Assam CM took a direct jab at the alleged construction of a lavish government residence for Kejriwal, popularly referred to as the 'Sheesh Mahal.'
“Delhi CM should allow the Chief Ministers of all the states to see the 'Sheesh Mahal' which Arvind Kejriwal has built,” Sarma quipped, suggesting that the opulence of the residence overshadowed governance and public service.
Sarma further alleged that the AAP government failed to fulfill promises made to Delhi’s citizens. “They did not fulfil even a single promise made to the public of Delhi. Their only achievement in the past ten years is the 'Sheesh Mahal,'” he added.
