GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma proudly announced a milestone for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the state assembly, as the coalition's strength reached its highest-ever tally of 82 seats.
In a tweet following the oath-taking ceremony of five newly elected NDA MLAs, Sarma said, "Attended the oath-taking ceremony of the 5 newly elected NDA MLAs at the Assam Legislative Assembly. The NDA strength in the House has now reached 82 seats, our highest ever tally."
