Patna, Bihar: Senior Congress leader and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday asserted that all is well within the Mahagathbandhan alliance in Bihar, brushing aside rumours of internal rifts ahead of the state assembly elections.
Speaking to the media in Patna, Gehlot said, “Everything is fine. Elections are very crucial, and preparation for the same is going on. There is no fight in the alliance.” His remarks come amid speculation over differences between coalition partners regarding seat sharing and leadership issues.
When asked about the alliance’s Chief Ministerial face, Gehlot maintained that the decision rests with the Congress leadership. “The decision will be taken by our Congress High Command, and discussions are going on among themselves,” he stated.
