Chandigarh: Addressing an event in Punjab where 1,205 newly recruited Punjab Police personnel received their appointment letters, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal expressed pride in the state's disciplined police force and congratulated the recruits on joining its ranks.

"I want to thank the Punjab government and Bhagwant Mann for inviting me here. It brings me great joy to see youth achieving their goals and being happy. I want to congratulate all of you who have been recruited into the Punjab Police,” Kejriwal said.

He detailed the government's progress in recruitment, stating that 1,205 appointment letters were distributed in this event, while an additional 1,746 candidates will receive their letters soon. For those in regions affected by ongoing elections, the process will resume post-election, ensuring fair and transparent hiring. Since the AAP-led government came to power, 1,805 individuals have already been inducted into the Punjab Police.

Kejriwal praised the Punjab Police as one of the most disciplined and celebrated forces in the country, urging recruits to uphold its reputation and take the organization to new heights. "You should be proud of joining this esteemed force. In the coming times, you will play a significant role in its growth and achievements," he added.
