Kohima, Nagaland — Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal announced progress on several key issues following a productive meeting with Nagaland Chief Minister. The discussions focused on the creation of a separate high court for Nagaland, financial assistance for infrastructure projects, and housing initiatives under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
"Today, there was a very good meeting with the CM of Nagaland. We discussed all the pending issues including the creation of a separate high court for Nagaland and financial assistance for this building," Meghwal stated. He assured that these matters will be addressed during the upcoming winter session of Parliament, with plans to convene a meeting to resolve any outstanding concerns.
Meghwal also emphasized the importance of financial inclusion, stating that "when there is financial inclusion, people benefit." As part of this effort, he highlighted the government's commitment to providing pucca (permanent) houses to eligible beneficiaries in the state under PM Awas Yojana.
The meeting signals a collaborative effort between the central and state governments to address long-pending issues and ensure that development projects, including legal and housing infrastructure, are advanced in Nagaland.
