Highlighting the achievements of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in this sector, Naidu said, “90% of irrigation projects, including Somasila, were initiated and completed during the Telugu Desam Party's governance.” These projects have significantly boosted agricultural productivity and ensured water availability in drought-prone regions.

The Vision 2047 document also emphasizes leveraging technology and sustainable practices to optimize water use. It includes plans for enhancing rainwater harvesting, modernizing irrigation systems, and reviving traditional water bodies.

The document reflects Naidu’s ambition to position Andhra Pradesh as a model state in sustainable development and resource management by the year 2047, aligning with India’s centenary of independence. The Chief Minister called on stakeholders to work collectively to achieve these goals, emphasizing that water security is foundational to the state's progress.
