BJP leader and Union Minister Anurag Thakur has strongly criticized Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for his recent comments regarding former U.S. President Donald Trump's remarks on the Indian economy. Thakur accused Gandhi of consistently taking positions that, according to him, reflect an “anti-India mindset.”
Speaking on the issue, Thakur said, “Anti-India statements have become a mindset for Rahul Gandhi. I would like to remind him that during the 10 years of the UPA government, India’s economy was considered ‘dead’ and the global perception of India was poor. Inflation was also on the rise.”
The response comes after Rahul Gandhi raised concerns about the Indian government’s silence over Trump’s social media remarks, which allegedly described India’s economy in negative terms. Gandhi had implied that the current administration was not defending India’s global economic image adequately.
