Union Minister and BJP leader Anurag Thakur has launched a sharp attack on Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge over his remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Thakur accused Kharge of using rhetoric that closely mirrors that of Pakistan, escalating political tensions in the wake of a national tragedy.

“Congress’ national president is speaking the language of Pakistan. These are Pakistan’s words but Congress’ leaders. This isn’t the first time — we’ve seen several such examples where Congress and Pakistan appear to be speaking in sync,” Thakur said in a strongly-worded statement posted on X (formerly Twitter).

He further questioned the Congress party’s national loyalty, stating, “Congress must decide whether it stands with the people of India or with Pakistan.”

The remarks come days after the terror attack in Pahalgam, where armed assailants reportedly targeted civilians based on their religion, sparking widespread outrage and renewed national security concerns. PM Modi has vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.
