The Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) has registered a criminal case against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders and former Delhi ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, citing alleged irregularities in the construction of classrooms during their tenure. The case pertains to an alleged scam valued at approximately ₹2,000 crore linked to the construction of 12,748 classrooms and related school infrastructure across Delhi.

According to officials, the investigation revealed large-scale financial misconduct, including significant cost escalations and procedural violations. None of the projects were completed within the stipulated time frame, raising serious questions about accountability and oversight. The ACB stated that consultants and architects were appointed without adhering to due procedures, and costs were inflated through these appointments.

The FIR was filed following the mandatory approval under Section 17-A of the Prevention of Corruption Act from the competent authority. Investigators have highlighted the possibility of deliberate mismanagement and collusion aimed at inflating budgets and diverting public funds.
